![]() You'll note (I believe) that the Wii remote plugin works perfectly, accepting input if set to Emulated Wiimote Mode from (for instance) a PS3 controller just not the GCPad. I don't understand why it was necessary to disable SDL support for the whole build in the first place if it was (is) still necessary for input in some parts of the system. Soren's promised working, native OS X HID code for the GCPad, but it has yet to appear in the main tree. Next, you’ll need the ROMs to actually play! ![]() I use the PlayStation 2 emulator called PCSX2 for The Sims 2 Castaway with my Xbox controller. ![]() With this I play The Sims Console, The Sims Bustin’ Out, The Urbz: Sims in the City, The Sims 2 Console and The Sims 2: Pets Console, all the goodies! The Sims 2 Castaway can be played on it since it is a Wii game, but I personally don’t because my controller only seems to work with GameCube games. (Keyboard can also be used if you don’t have a controller) You could probably also use an Xbox controller, but I don’t know if Zadig is still needed for that to work or not because I already had it setup by the time I got an xbox controller. (as a Windows user) This link should explain what it is with a download link and there’s also a guide. To make the adapter work with the Dolphin emulator, I downloaded a driver with Zadig. I got mine years ago so I don’t have a link to my exact purchase, but it looks like this. ![]() I use the adapter Nintendo Wii U to make my GameCube controller work. The current version I use is 5.0-11824 because I just haven’t updated in a while. For The Sims 2 Console I use the GameCube/Wii emulator called Dolphin. My current setup is what’s allowed for speedrunning, so there are other options out there. Oh, sure! Nowadays I emulate all of them. ![]()
